This notice covers the 86 Chaos marketing website and launch-interest signup. It does not cover restaurant operational data in the management application.

What you choose to share

Signup collects your email address, explicit consent to product and launch updates, and a submission date and time. First name and restaurant or business name are optional. We also retain the consent wording and version so we can record what you agreed to.

Why we use it

Chilton App Works LLC uses this information to manage launch interest and send the 86 Chaos updates you request. Signup does not create an account, purchase or contract. We do not sell signup information or use it for unrelated marketing.

How signup is handled

When signup is enabled, Vercel hosts the site and form endpoint, Cloudflare Turnstile checks for automated abuse, Resend sends a notification to Geoffrey@86chaos.com, and a separate Upstash store holds the signup and consent record. This store is separate from the restaurant application's database. Access is limited to people and service providers who need it to operate signup and follow up.

For abuse protection, your IP address is processed during the security check. The form's rate-limit store keeps a keyed hash of that address for up to ten minutes and a keyed email hash for up to an hour. We do not place form contents, credentials or security tokens in public application logs. Hosting and security providers may process technical request information under their own policies.

Retention and removal

Signup records in the form store expire after 180 days. Notification emails are retained in our business mailbox while needed to manage launch interest, and reviewed at least every six months. If follow-up requires a different system or longer retention, we will explain that before changing how we use the data.

You can withdraw consent or request access, correction or removal by emailing Geoffrey@86chaos.com from the address you used to sign up. We will stop launch updates and remove active signup records and associated mailbox copies, subject to any required legal retention and provider backup lifecycles. Future update emails will include a way to unsubscribe.

Website choices

The teaser pages do not include advertising trackers or optional analytics scripts. The security check runs when the signup form becomes visible. If you prefer not to use it, you can contact us by email.
